NOLA PHOTO MEMORIES
Hey from New Orleans ! (again) In this last series of posts on my recent trip to NOLA, I wanted to share memories from my trip through photos taken around the city. The idea to begin a travel and design blog stemmed from my love of travel and my work as an interior designer, but also as a way for me to document where I have visited and what I have taken from each city, culture and experience I've had. I've often gone on trips just to take photos that stay on my MacBook, that never make it to my Instagram page, or that I only show my parents, siblings and friends.
While in New Orleans, I appreciated the simplicity, ease, generosity and kindness that we received from locals, fellow tourists and travelers alike. Coming from New York, where talking to strangers and engaging with tourists is frowned up, I welcomed this. If I've taken anything from The Big Easy, it's just that; be kind, be gentle, be giving, and appreciate your surroundings.
Small tip: Bike, Bike, Bike. New Orleans is hot ( it's the South) but biking was relatively calming, and a great way to explore more of the city. New Orleans has Blue Bikes that you can rent from the city at the insanely low price of 0.13 cents a minute. We chose this option, but you can also pay $15/month and so on if you plan on staying longer.
Starting a travel and design blog has always been a passion of mine: going forward, I hope to include even more tips, recommendations, thoughts and advice for my next upcoming travels so stay tuned! Thanks for visiting my site, and please visit the magical city of New Orleans:)
