SUMMER DIARIES: MONTREAL ON FILM
As a model, I’m used to being in front of the camera. This past summer, I restored my dad’s old Canon AE1 from the 80’s. I’m going to be honest; I’m definitely not a photographer. The first roll of film I developed came out completely dark and blurry. But, I’m determined to get it right.
During a trip to Montreal this summer, I finally mastered it ( I think). I have a long way to go, but shooting while I travel on film is something I’m looking forward to. While the photos below are far from perfect, I feel they capture the soul of a city perfectly. There’s just something about carrying an actual camera, winding the film, taking a shot, and never looking at it until it’s developed. Truly magical.
