2022: WHERE TO NOW?
As we enter year two (or three?) of the pandemic, I’ve come to accept that maybe, just maybe, there will be an end in sight. But for now, I’ve learned, as many others have, to adjust. I was scheduled to visit family in Florida over the holiday season of 2021 - didn’t happen. I had dreams, way back when, of this being the year I finallly made the leap and moved abroad with my partner. Alas, that did not come to light either (yet).
But that’s a part of life. And while no one likes the situation we are in, I do think there are moments worth enjoying. Below, find the places I plan to travel in 2022.
Antigua, Guatemala. First abroad trip of 2022. Very excited to plan this out - stay tuned for a few guides and lists of recommendations. First on my list? Visit the studio of Luna Zorro, a studio I’ve followed for some time now.
Arlamów, Poland. Going here for a wedding! Really, really not sure what to expect - but there will be plenty of posts leading up to this summer’s visit.
Washington, DC. The first trip of the year, I’m planning on finally visiting the African American Museum, as well as the Hirshhorn and the Holocaust Museum. I’ve visited plenty of times when I was younger - but this will be my first trip back as an adult. It’s also Restaurant Week!
Greece. A big one. I’ve planned a trip to Greece before, where I wanted to visit Zakynthos and a few other island - but just never got around to it for personal and work reasons. A good friend is from Athens - here’s to island hopping like a local (pro tip: no Mykonos or Santorini will be on the list).
Philadephia, PA. A great destination for a quick NYC escape. I’ve spent plenty of time in Philly - but am hoping this time can be about visiting antique stores and a few museums along the way.
