As a designer, sourcing is pretty much everything. After finalizing a spatial layout, figuring out construction documents and working on an overall concept, getting to the decor and furniture pieces used in the space is exciting. For some, it can be a stressful time for many reasons: budget might get in the way after finally finding pieces that you like. Or, those pieces can have long lead times (how long it will take to produce, in some cases, or be delivered). If you’re on a tight deadline and budget. those two factors alone can prove to be a headache when sourcing for your space.

Another common problem I’ve seen is the amount of stuff that is available today. It can be hard to filter through all the options for a sofa, chair, dining table, office desk, and more. At times, you might possibly find yourself saving hundreds (I know I have). I’ve learned over time, however, to make a list of go-to places to visit. Keep reading for 10 of my favorite sites to source from below!

Wayfair: Best known for some of the most affordable prices, plus a huge amount of options to choose from. A go-to for last minute items, quick deals and great shipping prices/times. Some of my favorite options are credenzas and side tables, which can be used for a multitude of purposes and storage options.

Etsy: Not only a DIY craft and home site, Etsy has well sourced and finely detailed craftsmanship. Finding a rare deal and one of a kind pieces makes it even better.

Chairish: Vintage at its finest. Most pieces are one of a kind, rare and hard to find. Go-to options are their accent chairs, which often come in sets of twos and are bizarre, unique and absolutely perfect.

Ebay: Yes! A surprise, I’m sure, but Ebay has some of the best vintage finds. Since it’s Ebay, getting a deal isn’t hard either. Some of the items might be banged up, or need some fixing, so keep in mind when bidding.

Apt2B: Modern, clean and affordable sofas, chairs and more can be found here. Make sure to check out the outlet/ready to ship section for items that’ll be available to ship right away.

The accessories at West Elm are always chic and affordable. Shop this dining set here.

Rejuvenation: A great choice for lighting and hardware options. Refined pieces made with detail and style at a reasonable price? Say no more.

ABC Carpet and Home: A NYC staple, the mix of modern, eclectic and vintage pieces afford just the perfect amount of Instagram meets Pinterest vibe. Shop their rugs and accessories for some much-needed decor pieces to style up your space.

The Jungalow: For those who aren’t afraid of color, pattern and embroidered pieces that have a unique hand touch, look no further. Based in Los Angeles, this boho brand is quirky and one of a kind, reminding me often of why I love design and decor so much. Highly recommend their planters (I’ve been eyeing this one in particular).

Restoration Hardware: If you’re a fan of rugged antique pieces and modern decor, look no further. While definitely on the pricer side, the pieces are well curated, shot and displayed well, and can entice just about anyone to purchase and save everything.

While there are many more spots to source from (and drool over designing your house/space with) these 10 have proven to be some of my favorites time and time again. Happy shopping!
