THE WEEKLY (YEARLY) WRAP-UP

I can’t believe I am sitting here writing this on one of the last weeks of 2021. I’ve tried to remember what this year has been like, and honestly, most of it revolved around work. The vaccine helped us all feel more comfortable engaging with others, with the Summer and Fall months starting to resemble some semblance of normalcy. With Winter already the time when most people stay indoors - and combined with the pandemic still raging on - I, like others, have retreated back inside. Below, find my weekly (yearly) roundup of items I’ve been coveting as we make our way back indoors for the start of a new year.

Tiled Tables from Etsy. These are so versatile. I want them for plants, as cute, moveable side tables - and I love the colors they come in. I’m still trying to find the perfect vendor, and price, but there’s tons of options.

Lumosity Memory App. I’ve noticed that my memory has gotten pretty spotty - from work to my social life, and the daily stress and anxiety of doing it all in the midst of a pandemic, it can be hard to remember everything. The app has some great games to focus on improving brain power and strength.

Daily Planner from Day Designer. I used to keep a daily planner when I was in school - once I started working, it became a written to-do list for all of my work related tasks. I’ve decided to pick this back up for my own personal use, in the hopes I remember to keep writing down what I would like to accomplish that day.

Prints from Uzo Art. I’ve highlighted this artist before - and was shocked when I stumbled across her IG after over a year (thank you algorithm). Her work has grown to encompass more than just prints, and I love seeing a fellow woman of color get hers!

Wall Mounted Desks. I’ve been eyeing the Helix from CB2, but have tried to find it used or in a like new condition. As things drift back into social distancing and WFH, I thought it was finally time to set up my big girl desk. With a tiny NYC apartment, this was perfect.
