INSPIRATION: FEEDS TO TRAVEL THROUGH

Combining my love of travel and design was the basis for staring my site, TheEyeMustTravell. The two are entwined, forming a interconnected relationship that transforms our experiences daily. Design is everywhere, and more often than not, travel adds to this, enriching our encounters and expanding our world. While we are now no longer able to travel at the same pace for the foreseeable future, viewers have turned to technology and virtual connection to initiate a new sense of the word. Now, more than ever, the call towards staying emotionally charged while at home is present. The need to travel endlessly, while contained to our screens, is enough to inspire our dreams. To take that trip once we finally emerge from this, and to realize just how beautiful the world really is.

Complied below is a list of sites that inspire. Some of them are my favorite instagram, magazine and social media platforms. Some are my favorite sources of inspiration. I hope you can find solace, at least for the time being, through these sites.

travel + leisure: With plenty of information to influence your next trip, guides, beautiful photos, clothes, luggage and much, much more, this site has enough to get you going and staying fueled. To keep up to date with the pandemic, videos from travel experts have been launched to keep you aware and provide information necessary to how travel will look like once things open up.

travel noire: A focus on highlighting travelers and destinations from and within the African Diaspora is a key feature of this beautiful site. The stories and information from black-owned businesses and travel entrepenuerus from around the world create a

pinterest: Definitely goes without saying. I use pinterest for travel, design and inspiration for just about everything in life. A great start, but often can become a little much (pinterest home decor does not mean you are an interior designer) will always use though! Here’s my profile, where I pin everything from restaurants and interiors to my favorite floor tiles for inspiration.

Condé Nast Traveler: CN traveler is one of my favorite sites to follow, both online and on social media. Filled with interesting podcasts, guides and more, plus a special Women Who Travel feed, it is aways refreshing and inspiring. Although they definitely promote cities/countries that are more frequently traveled and known, the images and ways they do so are beautiful.

ignant: A site I’ve followed for some time now, ignant is an online magazine devoted to architecture, travel, interiors, photography, art and more. Existing as an online catalyst, the stories are well curated, well researched and told in minimal style and format that is instantly appealing. Follow for eye-catching visuals, inspiration and much more.

tmagazine: I have a hard time getting off this site. With a section for travel, as well as design and interiors, I find myself in a constant loop of clicking on one post, then discovering this or that within one post, and then wandering off to this or that designer…it is never ending, and honestly I’m not mad at it! Wander into the home of a fashion designer, whose new residence has been created to transform a small space into an entirely new abode filled with light and plants. Or wander the world with the click of a website. There’s really nothing that can’t be found here.
